What should you do if these injuries occur?
With both acute and chronic injuries, immediate action is necessary and you should never work though the pain. When you notice there is pain in a particular area of your body, immediately stop the movement and report the injury to your employer or supervisor. Continuing the activity that caused you the injury will cause even more harm. Certain injuries in the workplace need to be dealt with medically and immediately while others can be treated alone or with the assistance of someone like a co-worker or the employer.
Injuries should be taken seriously and immediate care is necessary to prevent further harm.
